My name is Bart Klein Breteler, the founder of Green Andes Travel. Originally from the Netherlands, I have called the beautiful city of Cusco my home since 2016. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in the local tourism sector. With a background in Business Economics and years of professional experience in finance in the Netherlands, I took a leap into the world of tourism — only to discover that many travel practices here were far from sustainable. This inspired me to make a difference.
In 2019, I co-founded Alemana Tours, a travel agency located within the charming B&B-Hotel Pensión Alemana in Cusco. Our goal was to offer high-quality tours with a strong commitment to sustainable tourism — a principle that remains at the heart of everything we do.
When my business partner retired in 2025, I decided to continue this mission under a new name: Green Andes Travel. Today, I am proud to share my passion for Peru and my commitment to responsible travel with visitors from all over the world. Together with trusted local partners — guides, drivers, and small businesses — I offer carefully designed travel experiences that allow you to explore Peru in a way that is meaningful, unforgettable, and sustainable.
