Sacred Valley, Cusco, Peru - We met Bart with Alemana tours on the first day that we arrived in Cusco and we are so happy that we did. We had an idea of what... read more we wanted to explore in the Sacred Valley but we hadn’t worked out any details. Bart arranged a plan for us and hooked us up with the best guides, very knowledgeable and experienced. Bart had made suggestions and arranged both private and group tours. We were very happy we both experiences. Alemana tours also arranged a guide to take us around Machu Picchu. She was full of knowledge about everything from the history to the botanicals growing in the area. We were also given a few great tips about overnight trips a trek away that we really loved and made our trip memorable. Ask about going to Santa Teresa. So happy that we arranged our travels with Alemana. Lots of quality contacts with a warm personal touch.

Wild and Wonderful Peruvian Adventures with Alemana Tours - We had the great fortune of finding Alemana Tours while in Cusco, Peru. We knew we wanted to see some highlights of this region and had a short window of... read more time, so we took a chance and inquired about organizing a tour after meeting the owner of this tour company in the lobby of our Cusco BnB. We are so thankful we did! Bart Bretelter is fantastic! There was no targeted sales approach, it was more a conversation about what we were interested in, how much time we had, etc. Bart then designed a two day trip tailor made to our needs. He worked quickly and put together a wonderful itinerary, so that our transfers, which could have been very complicated and expensive, flowed efficiently and easily. Bart put together a clear and easy to follow packet of information and was available to communicate with during our tour in case we had any questions. Because of his organized, experienced and thoughtful preparations, we were able to just go and enjoy our adventure. Every local taxi or guide service he arranged was punctual, knowledgeable, and so professional. The overall price was very competitive, and we feel we got incredible value for our money. There are so many tour companies to choose from in Cusco but many are unreliable, and only focused on upselling to make more money. This was not our experience at all. We highly recommend Bart Klein Bretelter at Alemana Tours!

Great trips (4) and booking with Alemana Tours!! - We booked four Tours with Bart from Alemana Tours (to before arriving in Cusco from Switzerland and two at the Hotel Alemana) and we can highly recommend his service!! It... read more was personal, tailor-made and excellent! We made four tours with Alemana Tours: The alternative Rainbow Mountains, Waqrapukara, the south of Cusco and a horseback riding trip - and each trip was fantastic!! Waqrapukara was the best of all - we have been the only tourists hiking in this area that day. Thank you so much Bart for making this possible!!

Awesome experience! - We made an awesome experience with Bart booking us a Tour to Machu Picchu with mountain Machu Picchu!
As we are students, Bart booked a cheeper entry with... read more student account for us. This was very difficult because the ministry of cultur in Peru has weard conditions. We had a good contact with him via email and he was always very helpful and told us which documents we need and bought the tickets for us.
Arrived in Cusco we went to his hotel to pick up the tickets. There we realized that we brought the wrong student cards with us! He tought us we need the national student identity cards, but we only brought the international ISIC student card! This was a big problem and we already feard that we won't be allowed to go to Machu Picchu with these students tickets with the ISIC card. Althought he had a lot to do in his hotel he went outside with us and ran to different organisations and tried to fix the problem we made. He spend two hours just to help us, for free!
At the end we were allowed to pass Machu Picchu and the mountain Machu Picchu with our ISIC cards and didn't have to pay another ticket without student account! (What also would have been impossible because they didn't had anymore tickets).
Thank you a lot Bart!
You had been a great help to us!

ATV and Zipline tour; so much fun - Tour was arranged by Alemana tours, everything clear and well arranged, we were picked up in time. After instruction we went on the semi automatic ATV through gorgious landscapes and... read more stopped at the sites of Maras and Moray. On the way back to Cusco we stopped for the ziplines, 4 different levels all with a view over the sacred Valley, absolutely fun and excitement garanteed, we all felt save after the instruction. We went on this tour with our family, two kids of 16 and 13 years old. Our 16 year old was so happy he was aloud to drive the ATV himself! The tourguides were very flexible about whether to visit Moray or another site that wouldn't cost any money, our group split up at that point. Also it is not a must to do the ziplines, then they will bring you back to Cusco earlier.
We all had a wonderfull day, absolutely recommended
Bring water and food yourself, there is limited time to buy and eat anything while you're on the ATV.

2D Titikaka Lake, 1D Alternative Rainbow Mountain, 1D Laguna Humantay - We book these three tours via Alemana Tours, which has been recommended to us by friends.
Already before leaving for Peru, Bart was extremely available and of great help... read more for preparing our trip. We were in contact with him throughout the trip in Peru and he nicely took care of us by warning us about strikes on the roads. We met Bart in person at Pension Alemana and had an enjoyable moment.
The 2 days tour on Titikaka lake was nice, but the guide not very talkative (he was informing us about the program, but he could have been more present and told us more about the history and costumes). However, we deeply enjoyed staying in a homestay in Amantany and we recommend to spend one night in a family on this island. Don't forget to look at the stars!
On the other hand, for the two tours near Cusco (alternative rainbow mountain and laguna Humantay) we had 2 amazing guides (Luis and Carlos II) and driver (Ricardo), who was driving very well on difficult roads! The groups were small (8 and 4 people) so that we had very good contact with the guides that were explaining to us a lot of things! The food was very good, especially for the trip to Humantay lake, where we had also a very comfortable van! We deeply enjoyed being out of the crowds of tourist (we arrived earlier than anyone else so that we could really enjoy the landscapes).
We can highly recommend these tours!
Thank you very much Bart for everything!
